of the most exquisite moonstone carvings in Sri Lanka. The above information was found in a rock inscription dating back to the 14th century AD. You will be amazed by the extent of the ruins and their exquisite design.
Arugam Bay is well known among the serious surfing community, but the perfect wave is only one of its attractions. Dolphin pods, beloved of the local fisherman, often play in the bay, and the surrounding country is thick with wildlife, birds and extensive monastic ruins. Sastharvila, Kudumbigala, Muhudu Maha Vihara and

Tarulengala are ancient Buddhist ruins in the vicinity dating back from the timeless past. Nearby Okanda, an important (though isolated) Hindu shrine, is on the pilgrim route from Jaffna in the north to Kataragama. Okanda is also the gateway to famous Kumana Villu, where water birds nest, and the Yala east national park with miles of unexplored golden beaches.

I mentioned that you will see the best of the beaches in Sri Lanka in the East in one of my earlier posts – Komari. You will see what I mean if you go to Arugam Bay, which is regarded as one of the best beaches in the world. This is situated close to Potuvil town and it is famous for water sports as well. June to July season is ideal for surfing.

The sun rise at Arugam Bay is one of the most beautiful sceneries and it is truly magical! The colours of the sky makes a picturesque sight in the eastern sky while the sun rises above the horizon.

The village remains a safety bubble in this turbulent country.A? Major projects are being carried out by the Government and large NGOa??s. However, there are still numerous smaller projects required. Individual households have to apply for water supply from the mains pipes laid along the roads. The charge for connection is expected to be between RS3000 (A?18) and RS15000 (A?90.91). The lower fee for those that were severely affected by the tsunami, with the charge being greater for those being less affected and with the highest charge for those not affected at all.A? Golden Beach of Komari

Purchase lincocin 500
All along the eastern edge of Sri Lanka there are magnificent beaches from Kumana to Nilaveli. Most probably we get the best of the beaches in this part of Sri Lanka.

Most are sparsely populated and ideal for hiking and camping.
These beaches have various types of terrains at different locations. Some are rocky; some have sand dunes; Some have thick jungles; some are surrounded by lagoons.

Komari Beach is situated about 15 km from (Arugam Bay) and Pottuville towards Akkaraipattu along A4 road. At noon it is quite warm but mornings and evenings are perfect for a long walk along this long and slightly curvy beach.

The view here is simply awesome!

Full Moon and Arugam Bay

Staring at the moon so blue….

Siam View Thai Beach Bar. View to Surf Point

Thai Beach Bar. Siam View, looking East to Surf Point & Thailand

Today happens to be The First Full Moon Poya Day for the year 2009. Well for some reason I kept searching for the Moon since 6 pm and spotted it at around 7.10pm and I felt sooo happy and a weird sense of relief. It seemed there for a moment that due to the cloudy, rainy, windy weather increase the Moon had not turned up I would have been incredibly dissapointed.
Maybe it’s cause he’s so faraway and the only thing both of us have in common is the Moon above us. Maybe it’s cause I believed that the moon will be able to carry my kisses all the way to Arugam bay and to blow them softly on his face. Maybe it’s simply because that childhood tale of “The moon bringing Milk and Honey” (symbolizing

happiness and prosperity) was ringing at the back of my mind!
Guess it was an incredible coincidense when his text said “I’m sleeping outside tonight and I just spotted a star with your face on it”. Well you know what! Maybe the Moon did hear my wish, my call, my prayer and decided to pass on my kiss and murmur softly to all the Stars that “We Are Definitely In Love”……………
